This policy explains how RemoteX TV handles information when you use the iOS app and this website.
No RemoteX account required
RemoteX TV does not require you to create a RemoteX account. The app is designed to control compatible Smart TVs over your local Wi-Fi network.
Local-network discovery and TV information
The app scans your local network for compatible TV discovery services, including supported Android TV / Google TV, Samsung Tizen and LG webOS signals. To make the remote experience work, the app may store TV names, hostnames, local network addresses, selected ports, platform type, preferences and saved-TV settings locally on your device.
Pairing credentials and saved TVs
Pairing credentials, Samsung tokens and LG client keys are stored securely in the iOS Keychain when needed for reconnecting to your TVs. You can use the app’s Forget TV controls to remove a saved TV from RemoteX TV. TV-side permissions may also need to be removed from the TV’s own settings.
Advertising and consent
RemoteX TV uses Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for ads and consent/privacy choices. Ads are not intended to appear over remote-control buttons, pairing screens or active control surfaces.
Depending on your region, consent choices and Google’s services, AdMob may collect or process information such as approximate location or IP address, device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction data, and crash or performance data. Google’s handling of this information is governed by Google’s policies.
If privacy choices are required in your region, the app provides access to those choices from Settings.
Remove Ads purchase
RemoteX TV offers a one-time Remove Ads purchase using Apple StoreKit. The App Store processes purchases. The app checks verified StoreKit entitlements to determine whether ads should be removed. A local cache may be used only to update the interface faster; StoreKit entitlement is the source of truth.
No developer-hosted media service
RemoteX TV is not a media streaming, catalog or download service. The developer does not host TV content, app catalogs, media streams or downloads for users through this website or the app.
No sale of user-provided personal information
The developer does not sell user-provided personal information. This website does not use analytics, cookies, databases or contact forms.
Children’s privacy
RemoteX TV is not directed to children. The app does not intentionally request children’s personal information from the developer.
